Tailplane painting process

In the attached photos you will see the great number of components that make up a tailplane.

They have all sharp corners and edges have been removed and made smooth.

They are all then rubbed down with scotch brite and a special aluminium metal cleaner to remove all greases and oils, to provide the best adhesion for the paint.

All parts are then hung up and primed with a strontium wash primer. (Yellow)
The parts are then finished with our zinchro, green to give it that ww2 era look on the inside.
